As a Banner Student Consultant at Ferrilli, you will play a pivotal role in the successful management and enhancement of the Banner Student Information System, which is critical to supporting the student records and administrative operations of educational institutions. Your responsibilities encompass the maintenance, configuration, and optimization of Ellucian Banner to ensure it aligns with the institution's goals and functions effectively.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Your primary responsibility is to maintain the Banner Student Information System, ensuring it operates smoothly and remains up-to-date with the latest software and security updates.

• Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to configure Banner according to the specific needs of each institution. This involves tailoring the system to optimize performance and functionality.

• Continuously assess and enhance the Banner system to maximize its efficiency and utility. You will be expected to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes accordingly.

• Work closely with colleges and universities to understand their Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) needs, with a particular focus on Ellucian Banner. Establish and maintain effective communication with clients to align project objectives with their requirements.

• Collaborate with the Professional Services team to share insights, best practices, and contribute to the overall success of the department.

• Write and maintain technical specifications/documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Information Technology, Computer Science, or Education.

• A minimum of 3 years of IT consulting experience and/ or hands on technical or functional experience in Ellucian Banner.

• Knowledge and experience with the Banner Student Information System, including its modules (e.g., Student, Financial Aid, Registrar).

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Familiarity with databases, SQL, and data management best practices.

• Project management skills and experience with project management methodologies.

• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

• Knowledge of higher education administration and policies is a plus.

• Relevant certifications or training in Banner Student Information System.

• Willingness to travel when required for client or internal business.

PERFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 1+ years in Banner SaaS extensibility, automation, and integrations using Ellucian Experience, Ethos, GraphQL, APIs, and Data Connect

• 2+ years in report development using Argos, or Cognos, or SQL-based reporting tools
• Admissions Insights Reporting is a big plus
